Are you an energetic person with time and love to give? Then Raven is looking for you! This sweet girl is a 2 year old Lab mix who weighs about 65 pounds and has had a heartbreaking life. As a young puppy, she was rescued from a person advertising her as snake food, and she ended up being given away to one less than ideal home after another. Raven was abused and spent her days living in fear, so quite understandably she is shy with new people. She is currently in a loving foster home where she receives great care, and she has formed a happy bond with her foster mom. However, one of the resident dogs in her foster home does not care for her, so she needs to find a permanent residence. In addition to her person, Raven's other true loves are swimming, fetching tennis balls in the pond, and running. She is very fast, super intelligent, knows lots of commands, and bonds to her person with everything she has. She does well with the small dog in her home and coexists with the cats, although she does enjoy a game of chase here and there! Raven's adopter needs to be patient and give her some time to settle in and bond. An active and athletic person, perhaps a runner or swimmer, would be a great match for this high energy girl, and lots of room to run and a pond or lake area would be ideal for her. After all she's been through, we're sure you agree that this wonderful dog deserves a great home.
