I'm a 2 year old neutered male black Labrador Retriever / Mix.

Age: Approximately 2 years

Weight: 60 lbs

My Story: I'm a happy and energetic Lab-type mix who's about 2 years old. I'm very friendly and really enthusiastic about meeting new people. I love attention and enjoy being petted and loved on. I'll benefit from obedience classes so I can learn good manners and become the best companion I can be! Although I love every person I meet, my strength and exuberance level might cause me to accidentally knock down a small child. For this reason, I'm approved for families with kids aged 10 and up. If you can give me the time, training, and love that I need, we might be a good match! A.J. is approved for families with children aged 10 and up. 

The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
My adoption fee is $200.00.
I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and I've received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. I have tested negative for heartworm.

If you are interested in adopting me, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at shelter@hsjc-wis.com. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
