The Services We Provide

The Humane Society of Jefferson County, Inc. is a non-profit entity serving municipalities that contract on an annual basis. Each year these contracts must be renewed. The primary area served is Jefferson County.

The Humane Society of Jefferson County provides comprehensive services including:

Stray animal pick-up 365 days a year, 24 hours a day to contracted municipalities
Lost and Found
Adoptions
Accept pet surrenders by owner
Quarantine for Rabies observation
Humane live trap rental
Educational programs/tours to service groups and schools
Offer purebred rescue referrals
Owner requested euthanasia
Police ordered safe keeps
Low cost Rabies vaccination clinics
Volunteer opportunities
Pet therapy visits to skilled care centers etc.
