I'm a special senior girl who is SUPER sweet, so my name really fits me! I lived outdoors for a while, where I survived the bitter cold and other dangers. I finally found a nice person who took care of me, but I was surrendered to the shelter when that person moved. I was then adopted, but was returned because I hid under a bed for a few weeks while I was acclimating to my new home. Sensitive animals often need a decent amount of time before they feel at ease in new surroundings. Just because an animal or person needs time to feel comfortable, it doesn't mean they're not wonderful! My ideal adopter will be patient and allow me to settle in at my own speed. (I adore my human caregivers at the shelter because they gave me time to adjust to the changes in my life. I'm actually a complete and total love bug with them, and I'll be the same with you if you just give me some time!). I'll be happiest in a quiet home without any young children. Talk to the shelter staff and they'll tell you how incredibly affectionate I am and how much they love me. They think I'm probably hearing impaired, which is common in older cats (and people.) However, I really won't need perfect hearing to know that you love me! :) If you invest some time to let me feel safe and secure, I'll give you my devoted companionship and incredibly sweet love!
