My Story: I'm a nice boy with a friendly and even tempered disposition. I am affectionate and love to be petted, but I don't constantly demand attention. I'm about as tall as a Beagle and at 32 lbs., I am very overweight. I've started my weight loss journey at the shelter, where I'm getting the correct amount of food and going for daily leash walks. :)  I know the commands for "sit" and "down" and I seem to like most other dogs. I was a stray so my history is unknown regarding my exposure to children, and that's why I'm approved for kids over the age of 10. I'm looking for a forever home where a nifty guy like me will be appreciated and cherished!  Huey is approved for families with respectful children over the age of 10. 

The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
