Hi, I'm Reida!

I'm a 5 year old spayed female black Great Dane / Mix.

Age: 1 year

Weight: 98 lbs (underweight)

My Story: I'm a one year old Great Dane searching for an adopter who has lots of experience with giant breeds. Very large dogs have very special needs, so a super knowledgeable adopter is a must for me! (Lots of people might want me because they think Great Danes are "cool," but giant breed dogs are very expensive to feed and care for and our vet bills tend to be quite expensive. I already lost one home because my owner wasn't prepared to care for me properly, and that's why it's so important for me to find the right home!) I am crate trained and definitely need an extra-large crate, which will take up a lot of room in my adopter's home. (If I'm not crated when I'm home alone, I tend to get into mischief!). I am house trained but could use a little work on my leash manners, and sometimes I urinate when I get excited or scared. I have a sweet personality and have been well behaved when I've gone to the vet. I lived with cats and wanted to play with them, but might accidentally hurt a cat or other small animal due to my size and strength. I seem to like children but again, I could accidentally hurt them because I'm so huge. If you understand a giant breed's special needs, and have the time and money to provide me with the best care possible, you're someone I'd like to meet!

The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.

My adoption fee is $200.00.
I have been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and I've received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. I have tested negative for heartworm.
