Four on the Floor

February 10, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Is your dog gravity-challenged? Dogs jump on people to get attention and as a form of greeting. Although they mean well, dogs can knock over small children, tear clothing, and rip skin in their enthusiasm. Many common techniques used to discourage a dog from jumping up often make the problem worse, hurt the dog, or put a person in danger.

Join Danielle Bartz of the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic on Saturday, February 10 as she offers half hour sessions at 10:00 am, 10:30 am, 11:00 am, and 11:30 am in the shelter’s Community Education Room. Come when you can and stay as long as you’d like to learn the right way to teach your dog to keep all four on the floor.

Dogs must be people friendly, dog friendly, current on all vaccinations, and leashed with 4′ to 6′ non-retractable leash.

The workshop is free, but monetary donations or items from the shelter’s wish list are greatly appreciated!

There is a limit of 10 dogs per session. Please contact the shelter by phone at 920-674-2048 to register.

This workshop is sponsored by Pet Partners, a partnership between the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic and the Humane Society of Jefferson County.
