Summer is a young female rat with a gentle spirit and a growing sense of curiosity. She’s still a bit shy but is slowly learning that people can be trusted—especially when treats are involved. Summer enjoys spending time with her sisters and feels most confident when they’re by her side, so she must be adopted with at least one of them. With time, patience, and plenty of tasty snacks, she’ll continue to come out of her shell and show more of her sweet personality.

If you are interested in adopting me, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
