Dog’s Day Out: Life Skills for Your Dog!

Join us for a free workshop on improving your dog’s life skills through a series of fun games and activities! Activities include: Leash walking “Take it” “Wait” “Back-up” And more! The event will be held in the shelter’s Community Education Room on Monday, February 25th with sessions starting 6:00 PM, 6:45 PM, and 7:30 PM. The Fix Is In, Inc. will be at the HSJC on March 5th and 6th for low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for cats and kittens. They will also be able to spay or neuter a few dogs under 40 lbs. 2019 Spring Rabies Clinic

The Badger Veterinary Hospital will join the HSJC in sponsoring this year’s Spring Rabies Clinic. The clinic will be held on Saturday, March 23rd from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jefferson County Fair Park. Rabies vaccinations will cost $15.00 each, which can be paid by check or cash. All rabies vaccinations will be good for one year unless a rabies certificate is provided as proof of a current rabies vaccination, in which case a three-year vaccine may be given.
