Furry Friends 5k
Join the race to help homeless pets by participating in the Humane Society of Jefferson County’s 11th Annual Furry Friends 5K. This family-friendly and dog-friendly event will take place on Saturday, May 18th at 9 a.m. at the Jefferson County Fair Park. Mobile Vet Clinic – Cats Only; Dog Appts Full!
The Humane Society of Jefferson County will be hosting a mobile vet clinic in partnership with Underdog Pet Rescue of Madison on Wednesday, May 29th, and Thursday, May 30th. The clinic will be held at the shelter at W6127 Kiesling Rd, between Jefferson and Fort Atkinson, and will offer the services listed on the image below. These dates are cats only, all dog appointments are full. This event is appointment only, no walk-ins will be admitted. You do not need to reside in Jefferson County.…

Stable Rock Winery & Distillery will be hosting a Bingo Night fundraiser for the shelter on Wednesday, May 29th at 6:00 PM. The cost to play is a $5.00 donation to the shelter, which will be collected on the day of the event. Participants must RSVP by calling Holly at Stable Rock at 920-541-3459. There is limited space so walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
Adopt a Cat Month – Reduced Adoption Fees!
In celebration of Adopt a Cat month, all cats over six months have half price adoption fees and all kittens under six months have two-for-one adoption fees during the month of June! We will be hosting a (human) blood drive in partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin on Saturday, June 8th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the shelter’s Community Education Room. Brews & Bingo! is a series of fundraisers hosted by Tyranena Brewing Company to benefit local charities. On Monday, June 17th, this fun event will benefit the HSJC! The games will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Fharmacy Public House, 203 N. Main Street, Lake Mills. Bingo cards are $10 each to play for the whole night (with the chance to win many prizes) and Tyranena will donate $1 for every pint served during the event to the cause.
Furry Friends Kids Camp – FULL!
The Humane Society of Jefferson County will host two Furry Friends Kids Camps this year! The first camp will be from Monday, July 15th, through Friday, July 19th. The second camp will be from Monday, August 5th, through Friday, August 9th. This week-long day camp will provide a fun-filled experience for children as they learn about kindness and compassion for the animals who share our world. Paint Your Dog in Watercolors
Emily Marie Watercolors will be holding a Paint Your Dog in Watercolors on Wednesday, July 24th, from 6-8 PM at The Vintage Flip in Lake Mills. 10% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the shelter! This 2 hour class is perfect for beginners: She’ll sketch your dog onto your watercolor paper and then guide you through painting your sweet pup step-by-step.
