Hi, I'm Cody!

I'm a 3 year old brindle with white neutered male.

CODY: 1 year old neutered male, mixed breed, 51 lbs., medium/high energy level, shy with new people and situations but outgoing and affectionate once he's comfortable, will do best in a quieter home, approved for respectful and gentle children age 12 and up.

I'm a handsome brindle boy who is sweet but shy, which isn't surprising since I was mistreated in the past. I was adopted and was doing great in my new home, but I was sadly returned to the shelter due to my owner's health issues. I am very timid in my kennel at the shelter, but if you take me outside away from the kennel area I am much happier and more outgoing. I have a good amount of energy and will need daily exercise and play time with my family. I'm still a youngster so I'll need kind and consistent training based on positive reinforcement and never punishment. I'm looking for a patient adopter who will give me time to settle in and feel at ease in my new home. I'm approved for gentle and respectful kids age 12 and up and since I'm afraid of loud noises, I'll do best in a home without a lot of noise and commotion. People were not kind to me in the past so I need someone who understands my need for time and reassurance. I did great with my previous adopter (and again, human health issues are the only reason I was returned) so once I feel comfortable I should do great with my new home and family!

The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.

My adoption fee is $200.00.
I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and I've received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. I have tested negative for heartworm.
