MYA: 5 years old, spayed female, Schipperke-type mix, 25 lbs. Sweet, smart, and active, needs an adopter committed to keeping her mind and body occupied. She's an escape artist and cannot be left unsupervised outdoors. Mya gets along with most other dogs but cannot live with cats, chickens or other domestic birds, or small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs. She is approved for an active individual or a family with respectful children.

I'm a 5 year old Schipperke mix who is sweet, affectionate, and very active. I am quite intelligent and will be a great choice for someone who really enjoys keeping their dog busy. Daily exercise is an absolute must for me but at the end of a busy day I'll be a wonderful snuggle buddy. I am house trained, crate trained, well behaved for car rides, and love going for walks. I'm approved for families with respectful children and get along with most other dogs, but I cannot live with cats, chickens or other domestic birds, or small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs. I am very protective of my humans and my home, and like most dogs in my gene pool I think I run the neighborhood! I need safe containment when I'm outside because if I get loose I'll go exploring with no regard for my own safety. This means I cannot be left unsupervised outdoors so I need to be in a securely fenced yard or on a leash WITH my human and not by myself! I'm looking for a forever home where I'll get lots of exercise, stimulation, and love. If you can keep me busy in a structured manner, I'd love to be your most loyal companion and very best friend!
