Hi, I'm Princess Pickles! I'm the queen of the shelter and am always ready to put smiles on faces and give free serotonin boosts. I am well mannered and potty trained, and I really love attention, cuddling, and giving kisses. I'm very food motivated and it's adorable how excited I get at meal time. :)  My face looks like a pit bull and my body kind of looks like corgi, so I have quite a unique appearance. Some people call me a "slinky" dog and when you call me I'll come waddling or slinking over to get some loving. I am a lower energy senior who will be happiest in a quiet home where I can lay on the couch, cuddle with my people, and get lots of belly rubs. I can be a diva sometimes and am very selective about my doggy friends (honestly, I love people so much I just want all the attention to myself). I don't care for younger kids and don't like how loud and fast they can be. I don't mind gentle and respectful older kids though (age 8 and up), and as I always say, the more hands to pet me the better! I can be defensive behind barriers and may bark at people because I want to protect you, so my adopter should stay with me when visitors come to the house. The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
