Hi, I'm Grace!
I'm a 1 year old spayed female tricolor (tan/brown & black & white) Shepherd / Mix.
I'm a sweet, young mixed breed who hasn't had much stability in my short life. I need a committed and responsible adopter who will work with me on my shyness. I am very loving but am also very timid, and I will need time to adjust to my new home. My adopter must be gentle, patient, and prepared to devote a good deal of time to helping me build up my confidence. I was extremely afraid when I came to the shelter, but I've already bonded with some of my caregivers so they know I'm a very loving girl. Once I feel comfortable, I walk nicely on a leash and like to play fetch. I am approved for kind and respectful children aged 15 and up. I will do best in a quieter home with a dog experienced person who will always be gentle with me, and who can commit to me for my whole life long. It will take time, patience, and a lot of love to help me blossom, but I promise I'm totally worth the effort!
I have been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and I've received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. I have tested negative for heartworm.
If you are interested in adopting me, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at email@example.com. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed. Please contact the shelter at 920-674-2048 with any questions.
