Hi, I'm Brody - Reduced Fee!!
I'm a 9 year old neutered male brown/chocolate Dachshund / Mix.
Age: Approximately 2-3 years
Weight: 20 lbs
Physical Description: Smooth-coated brown with tan, drop ears, long tail.
My Story: I'm a delightful Dachshund who came from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. I spent a few days in a foster home down south and my foster mom said I'm a sweetheart. :) I am house trained if you keep me on a schedule and don't leave me inside for too long. I got along great with my foster mom's six dogs and I hate to be crated, so leaving me in a crate won't be an option for my adopter. I'll be a flight risk for a while in my new home, because my foster mom said I ran the perimeter of her fenced yard looking for a way out for the first several days. She said I did this because I still loved my former owners even though they didn't love me. :( She said it only took 3 days for me to bond with her and that I'll bond strongly with my person. I'm looking for a committed adopter who will make me a priority in their life. I'll do best in a home where I'm not left alone for long periods of time, with someone who will give me lots of attention. I've never had a loving owner and I'm so excited to find an adopter who will really care about me!
Thanks to a generous sponsor, my adoption fee has been reduced!
I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and I've received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. I have tested negative for heartworm.
