Hi, I'm Django - Reduced Fee!!
I'm a 4 year old neutered male black with white American Pit Bull Terrier / Mix.
Age: 4 years
Weight: 75 lbs
My Story: I'm a nice boy who suffered from horrible neglect in my previous home. I was terribly underfed and severely emaciated when I arrived at the HSJC. Due to issues involving my owners, I've been at the shelter as a "safe keep" since November of 2018. Now at long last, I legally belong to the shelter and am finally available for adoption! (Yippee!). I'm an intelligent and energetic boy who knows the commands for sit, shake, and lay down. I love to be active and really enjoy going for leash walks. I have good manners and am polite about greeting people. I'm also affectionate and enjoy being petted and praised. Thanks to my shelter caregivers, I've learned how it feels to be loved and well cared for. I'm looking for a kind and committed adopter who will make my health and happiness a priority in their life. I am approved for gentle and respectful children over the age of 10. After all the awful things I've been through, I truly deserve a safe and loving home! (Django is good friends with another dog at the shelter named Bucky. Django and Bucky do NOT have to be adopted together, but if they are they'll have a reduced "two for one" adoption fee of $200.00.) Django is approved for families with gentle and respectful children over the age of 10.
Thanks to a generous sponsor my adoption fee is just $100.00!
I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and I've received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. I have tested negative for heartworm.
If you are interested in adopting me, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at email@example.com. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed. Please contact the shelter at 920-674-2048 with any questions.
