Hi, I'm Aspen!
I'm a 7 year old white with tan, yellow or fawn neutered male.
Age: Approximately 1 1/2 years
Weight: 90 lbs
My Story: I'm an extra large boy who was transferred to the HSJC from a shelter in Milwaukee. I was terribly thin and my beautiful coat was matted, which indicates that I was neglected by my "owner." Even though I was treated so poorly, I am very friendly and still think humans are the best! I have a sweet disposition and enjoy being petted and loved on. I'll require daily exercise and my coat will need to be brushed regularly. (And yes, I do shed!). I'm a gentle guy but I have a lot of strength, so I'll do best with a dog knowledgeable adopter. Large dogs are more expensive to care for than small dogs (we need a lot more food and vet procedures like dental cleanings cost more because of our size), so my adopter should be prepared for this. I still need to gain some weight so I'll need the correct amount of high quality food. I'm looking for a forever home where I'll be valued and cherished and never neglected. I'm approved for respectful children age 10 and up and am excited to become part of a loving family. If you can commit to my health and happiness for the rest of my life, I'll be a one in a million friend and companion! Aspen is approved for families with respectful children age 10 and up.
I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and I've received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. I have tested negative for heartworm.
