Hi, I'm Bear!

I'm a 12 year old neutered male red Coonhound / Mix.

Age: Approximately 8 1/2 years

Weight: 67.5 lbs

My Story: I'm a handsome red hound who lost my home due to human issues and not through any fault of my own. I have a friendly and affectionate personality and I've been known to hug the people I love. :)  I have nice leash manners and am house trained (although dog adopters are advised that potty accidents are common during the first days or weeks in a new home.)  I like to play fetch and tug of war, and I enjoy swimming and going for car rides. I know the commands for come, sit, shake, lay down, and play dead. I have a good amount of energy and will appreciate daily exercise as well as lots of snuggle time. I'm not a fan of cats so I need to live in a feline-free home. I'm approved for respectful children aged 8 and up and am excited to find a family of my own to love! Bear is approved for families with respectful children aged 8 and up.

The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
My adoption fee is $200.00.
I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and I've received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. I have tested negative for heartworm.
