Agave is a sweet and smart girl who loves being close to her people and showing off her skills like sit and shake. She walks nicely on leash and enjoys a good mix of playtime and cuddle time, making her an easy companion for both adventures and quiet evenings at home. Agave is attentive, affectionate, and would do best in a home that can appreciate her playful spirit while also giving her plenty of love and structure.
Agave has been waiting a while to find her family, so her adopters can name their own adoption fee when they take her home!
The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
Agave has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. Agave has tested negative for heartworm.

If you are interested in adopting, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
