I'm a lovable guy with a sweet and mellow demeanor. Currently, I'm getting a head start on my New Year's resolution to shed some extra pounds, and I'm looking for a home that can help me stay on track with a healthy diet and plenty of exercise. I've got a playful spirit just waiting to burst forth as the pounds melt away. I'm incredibly well-mannered, potty trained, and you'll be impressed with my repertoire of commands—I know "sit," "down," "paw," and even "sit pretty." I get along great with other dogs and have even lived harmoniously with three cats in the past. I might be a bit shy and nervous at first, especially around new faces, but with a slow introduction (and perhaps a treat or two), I transform into a cuddle bug who adores butt scratches and belly rubs. I can't wait to find a loving home where I can continue to blossom into the best version of myself!

From Charlie's foster family:
"I am currently fostering Charlie and want you to know what a sweet boy he is. He has excellent house training habits and has never once made a mess of any kind. I have left him alone for as long as 9 hours on one occasion and he did really well, but prefers to be part of the action and loves to be petted and scratched. I have been taking him to a group training class and we have been working on leash training as well as some of the basic commands. Charlie has progressed immensely in his walking and socializing skills and has gone from not wanting to walk at all to wanting to go once or twice a day. He also enjoys car rides very much! He is getting the hang of “playing” and could use some encouragement, but will play tug of war or fetch for short bursts. Charlie is watching his weight, and has lost some pounds since I have had him, which has made him happier and more energetic! He is a great smart companion and very loyal, sweet and silly after he bonds. Charlie will literally be your best friend with time to warm up to you and continued patience with his learning, training and acclimation to a new home."

I'm currently staying in a foster home, so if you'd like to meet me please call the shelter at 920-674-2048 to arrange a meeting!

The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.

My adoption fee is $250.00.
I have been , vaccinated, microchipped, and I've received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. I have tested negative for heartworm.
