I'm a super affectionate guy who just can't get enough of love and attention. I adore other dogs and have yet to meet one I don't like, and I've even done well with cats! I'm a toy enthusiast and love to carry them around to show off my collection. When it comes to people, I'm all about cuddles and lap time, and I'll happily lick you until I get all the pets I crave. I'm a sensitive soul, so I really appreciate calm and gentle folks, but I've also done great with young kids. Plus, I walk well on a leash and am potty trained, so I'm ready to be your perfect companion!
The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
Franz has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. Franz has tested negative for heartworm.

If you are interested in adopting, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
