I'm a sweet and affectionate boy looking for a second chance at happiness with my sister, Lucy. Losing our home and family has been really hard on us, and we’ve been sticking close together, finding comfort in each other. Here at the shelter, I’m a bit shy, but in a loving home where I feel safe, my true personality shines—I’m playful, relaxed, and always ready to curl up in your lap or soak up some pets. I even love being held! If you’re someone who can see past our initial shyness and give us the patience and love we need, Lucy and I promise to be the most wonderful companions you could ask for.

Max has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and received routine treatment for internal and external parasites.

If you are interested in adopting, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
