Sweet Pea is a beautiful and outgoing cat with a big personality and an even bigger heart. True to her name, she’s incredibly sweet and enjoys attention and affection—until she’s had her fill. Sweet Pea enjoys pets so much that it can sometimes be overwhelming for her, so when she needs you to stop she'll give you a bit of a whap to let you know she needs a break. Because of this, she’d do best in a home without young children who may not understand her need for personal space. With an adopter who respects her boundaries, Sweet Pea will shine as the wonderfully quirky, affectionate, and entertaining companion she’s meant to be.

If you are interested in adopting, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
