Monica is an adorably round tortoiseshell lady with a soft heart and a gentle soul. The busy shelter environment can feel overwhelming for her, so she often chooses a cozy hiding spot where she can feel safe and secure. She may be a bit wary when you first meet her, but with a little patience and quiet time, Monica starts to peek out, and once she does, she’s ready to soak up the love.
She enjoys gentle pets and brushing and truly shines when she’s allowed to set the pace. Monica would do best in a calm, quiet home where she can settle in slowly and feel comfortable as she learns that she’s safe. With time and understanding, she’ll make a sweet, loving companion for someone who appreciates a quieter kind of affection.

You can complete the online adoption application or you can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
