Coletta is a lovely girl who’s still finding her footing in the busy shelter environment. Right now, she feels safest curled up in her cozy spot, taking things in from a distance. But once you start petting her, a different side of her begins to shine. She leans into your hand, starts purring, and even makes biscuits, showing just how sweet and affectionate she truly is.
She’s already beginning to open up more each day, and it’s clear there’s so much more to her personality waiting to blossom. In a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe, Coletta will settle in much more quickly and gain confidence.

If you are interested in adopting, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can complete the online adoption application or you can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
