Meet Andy, a sweet and friendly boy who has never met a stranger! He loves everyone he meets and is always ready to make a new friend. Andy still has plenty of puppy energy and would benefit from continued training to help him grow into the best companion he can be. He's an active, fun-loving dog whose favorite game is fetch, and he's always excited for playtime. When he's not chasing a ball, Andy is a loving and affectionate pup who enjoys spending time with his people. With his happy personality, eager spirit, and big heart, Andy is sure to bring lots of joy and laughter to his forever family.
The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
Andy has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and received routine treatment for internal and external parasites. Andy has tested negative for heartworm.

If you are interested in adopting, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can complete the online adoption application or you can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
