Furry Friends 5k

Join the race to help homeless pets by participating in the Humane Society of Jefferson County’s 11th Annual Furry Friends 5K. This family-friendly and dog-friendly event will take place on Saturday, May 18th at 9 a.m. at the Jefferson County Fair Park. Hundreds of human participants and their canine companions have taken part in this race, providing our community with a healthy and fun event that gets bigger and better every year. The scenic, flat course ensures that first time walkers and runners can comfortably participate alongside more serious runners. Along with the race, the day will feature dog lure and agility courses, many area vendors, bobbing for tennis balls, concessions, a 50/50 raffle, music and more!

NEW THIS YEAR: KidK Obstacle Run/Walk!
This obstacle course is geared towards children ages 1-6 years old, but there is no age limit for participants. The obstacle course will consist of color powder, hopscotch style obstacles, rail yard, and so much more.  All participants will receive a medal, but there will not be a rewards ceremony.

Registration Fees through April 7th:
FF5k 13 years & under: $20
FF5k 14 years & up: $30
KidK Obstacle Run/Walk: $10

Registration Fees after April 7th:
FF5k 13 years & under: $25
FF5k 14 years & up: $35
KidK Obstacle Run/Walk: $15

Price includes a race day T-shirt, swag bag full of goodies, finisher medals for humans AND dogs, as well as finish line snacks and beverages.

Early packet pick up is strongly encouraged for all participants. Stop by the shelter May 17th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM to pick up your race day packets!
