Four on the Floor

Is your dog gravity-challenged? Dogs jump on people to get attention and as a form of greeting. Although they mean well, dogs can knock over small children, tear clothing, and rip skin in their enthusiasm. Many common techniques used to discourage a dog from jumping up often make the problem worse, hurt the dog, or put a person in danger.
Join Danielle Bartz of the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic on Saturday, April 22nd as she offers half hour sessions from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the shelter’s Community Education Room. Come when you can and stay as long as you’d like to learn the right way to teach your dog to keep all four on the floor.
Dogs must be people friendly, dog friendly, current on all vaccinations, and leashed with 4′ to 6′ non-retractable leash.
This is a free workshop sponsored by Pet Partners, a partnership between the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic and the Humane Society of Jefferson County.
