It’s Potty Time!
April 2, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeDid you know that dogs are not considered potty trained until they have not had an accident for 90 days? Dogs and cats can have a hard time learning our potty training routines for them. Join the behavioral team from the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic (Mittsy Voiles, Alli Jerger, Danielle Bartz) to learn how to gently and quickly teach cats and dogs good toilet routines. You’ll also learn what things don’t work, and what things (rubbing noses in the mess) will make the problem much worse. This workshop will cover the basics for dogs and cats who are being newly potty trained, as well as techniques to use to get back on track if toilet training has gone astray. Learn about common health problems that can throw off toileting behavior, and when to check in with your veterinarian.
The workshop will be held in the shelter’s Community Education Room on Monday, April 2nd, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
This event is for humans only, so please leave your pets at home.
The workshop is free, but monetary donations or items from the shelter’s wish list are greatly appreciated!
We’d love to know how many people are planning to attend so we can set up the room accordingly. Please contact the shelter by phone at 920-674-2048 or hit “going” on the Facebook event to let us know you’re planning on attending!
This workshop is sponsored by Pet Partners, a partnership between the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic and the Humane Society of Jefferson County.
