Join us for a Kitten Shower to benefit the Humane Society of Jefferson County! The shelter cares for countless litters of kittens and expecting momma cats each year, and spring/summer is the busiest time.
Bring a wish list item and enjoy a fun family friendly event at the shelter!
- Adoptable cats/kittens
- Face painting
- Kids activities
- Refreshments
- Informational tables on cat ownership
- $1 raffle tickets for a “New Cat Package” full of goodies for your feline friend
- Speakers from the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic
- 2:00 PM – Alternatives to Declawing: Dr. Deanna Clark, DVM, CCRT and Kaley Fuchs, CVT (they will also have an info table!)
- 2:30 PM – Parasites in Kittens: Kelly Smart, CVT
- 3:00 PM – Dental and Coat Care: Megan Levake, CVT
Please note that only those who have filled out an application to adopt will be able to hold or pet the adoptable kitties. This ensures the health and safety of everyone! All shower guests will be welcome to walk through the adoptable cat/kitten areas and view them in their kennels.
If you think you’ll be interested in adopting a cat or kitten on this day, you’ll want to become pre-approved ahead of time. Applications can be found here: http://hsjc-wis.com/adopt/
