Let’s Go for a Walk!
May 20, 2016 @ 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeNeed a little help getting your pooch in sync in with your step? Walking your dog is so much more than just a way of exercising man’s best friend. It stops him or her from getting bored, it’s a behavior training opportunity, and it teaches your dog how to behave in canine company. On top of all this, it gets both of you out and about while helping to grow the bond you have with your dog. Dogs aren’t born knowing how to walk on a leash, but this workshop will teach your dog how to follow your lead.
The workshop will be held at the shelter on Friday, May 20th, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The workshop will be held in 30-minute sessions so come when you can and stay as long as you’d like! All dogs must be “people friendly,” “dog friendly,” current on vaccinations, and leashed with a 4′ – 6′ non-retractable leash. The workshop is free, but please consider bringing an item from the shelter’s wish list or a cash donation.
We’d love to know how many people are planning to attend so we can plan accordingly. Please contact the shelter by phone at 920-674-2048, by email at shelter@hsjc-wis.com, or hit “going” on the Facebook event to let us know you’re planning on attending!
