Parasite Prevention Workshop

May 22, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Yuck! Nobody wants to think about parasites. It’s spring – time for planting flowers and frolicking in the fields. But the fact is that our dogs and cats play host to lots of unwanted visitors.

Come learn from Kelly Smart, CVT at Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic, how to identify and prevent external parasites like fleas and ticks, and how to prevent internal parasites like heartworms and intestinal worms to keep your pets healthy.

Please note this workshop is for humans only. Please leave your pets at home! The workshop will take place in the shelter’s Community Education Room on Monday, May 22nd, at 6:00 p.m.

The workshop is free to attend, but monetary donations or items from the shelter’s wish list would be greatly appreciated!

We’d love to know how many people are coming so we can plan accordingly. Please RSVP by phone at 920-674-2048, email at shelter@hsjc-wis.com, or click the “Going” button on the Facebook event page.

This is a free workshop sponsored by Pet Partners, a partnership between the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic and the Humane Society of Jefferson County.
