About Whitney

· Looking for a working cat home
· Has done well with other cats
· No known experience with dogs
· No known experience with children

Whitney is an undersocialized girl who isn't comfortable enough with people to be happy as a traditional house pet. She's looking for a working-cat home such as a barn, workshop, garage, or similar setting where she can live a more independent lifestyle while still having someone looking out for her.

Whitney does talk to people and will likely become comfortable enough to greet her feeder, but she's not looking for a life of laps and cuddles. What she needs is a safe place to call her own, with reliable food, fresh water, shelter, and someone committed to keeping an eye on her for the rest of her days.

Her new family will need to commit to confining Whitney in a crate, small room, or other secure enclosure for 3-4 weeks when she first arrives. This gives her time to acclimate to her new surroundings and learn that this is her new home before she is given access to the larger property.

In exchange for a safe and secure place to live, Whitney will be happy to do what cats do best: help keep the rodent population under control. If you're looking for a working cat who needs a chance to live life on her own terms, Whitney may be just the girl for you.

As a working cat, Whitney's adoption fee has been waived!
