Hi, I'm Pepper!
I'm a 4 year old siamese sable point spayed female.
I'm a sweet 1 year old rabbit who lost my home when my owners moved. I can be shy at first but I'm playful and affectionate once I'm comfortable. I'm looking for an indoor home where I'll get lots of love and attention. The HSJC requires indoor homes for all adopted rabbits and does not recommend rabbits as pets for younger children. Please read on for good advice about bunnies as pets!
Rabbits are not recommended as pets for younger children because we can easily be injured if we're dropped or handled too roughly. We need a diet that consists mostly of good quality timothy hay, along with limited amounts of fresh veggies and timothy-based pellets. Of course we also need fresh, clean water every day! Rabbits need large cages that are kept clean and comfortable, and we need to spend time outside our cage every day to exercise, play, and interact with our people. Please visit the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society's website at https://wisconsinhrs.org for expert information on caring for, and living with, a house rabbit!
