Jasper is a handsome chinchilla who’s a little on the shy side, but with patience (and a few tasty treats) he’ll start to show you his sweet personality. He may squawk when you first approach his cage, but he’s easily won over with snacks and absolutely adores his dust baths. At 8 years old, he’s still got plenty of years ahead of him, as chinchillas often live into their twenties. Jasper will need a spacious, multi-level cage to hop around in and would be thrilled to have a chinchilla buddy to keep him company while he settles into his new home.
Jasper has been waiting a while to find his family so his adopter can name their own adoption fee when they take him home!

If you are interested in adopting, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
