Meet Shoelace!

Shoelace is a sweet little guy who takes a little time to feel brave in new situations. While he may hang back at first, having his best friend Tater Tot nearby helps him feel safe and gives him the confidence to start exploring and showing off his playful side. Once he settles in, he transforms into a fun, energetic kitten who loves to run, wrestle, and chase after toys.
After all that excitement, Shoelace is more than happy to curl up for a cozy nap and recharge before the next round of kitten adventures begins. He and Tater Tot share a very close bond and must be adopted together so Shoelace can continue having his favorite source of comfort and confidence by his side.
With a little patience and a lot of love, Shoelace will grow into a sweet, playful companion who brings endless adorable moments into his new home.
Shoelace and Tater Tot are a bonded pair so they have a 2-for-1½ adoption fee to help them find a home together!
Shoelace and Tater Tot are currently staying at PetSmart West in Madison.
Shoelace has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and received routine treatment for internal and external parasites.

If you are interested in adopting, the first step is to submit an adoption application. You can complete the online adoption application or you can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
