Meet Michael!
- 2 months old
- Neutered male
- Requires a feline playmate in the home
- Not a good match for young children
- No known experience with dogs
- Requires socialization and experience reading cat body language
Michael is an adorable kitten who’s still learning that people can be safe and good. Right now he’s on the shy side and needs a family that understands trust doesn’t happen overnight. With patience and consistency, he has all the potential to grow into a playful, affectionate companion.
Michael will do best starting out in his own small room and having multiple short socialization sessions every day over the course of several weeks. Building confidence through routine, play, treats, and calm interactions will help him learn that being close to people can be rewarding and fun. Without dedicated socialization, he risks remaining fearful and hiding instead of enjoying life with his family.
Because he gains confidence from other cats, Michael is looking for a home with a friendly feline companion who wants a playmate and can help show him the ropes. He would also do best in a home without young children so he has the space and patience he needs to continue building trust. For an adopter willing to put in the work, Michael has all the ingredients to become a fun and loving companion.
