Miley is a gentle girl with a sweet personality who is slowly discovering how wonderful people can be. She didn’t have much exposure to people as a young kitten, so she initially wasn’t sure whether she could trust us, but she’s making wonderful progress and enjoys pets once she feels comfortable. She’ll need an adopter who understands that building trust takes time and is willing to help her through regular, short socialization sessions in a small, quiet space where she can feel safe and gradually gain confidence.
A confident feline companion will also be an important part of Miley’s transition, giving her a buddy to follow and helping her feel more secure in her new surroundings. Because she needs a calm environment and plenty of patience as she learns to trust, she’s looking for a home without young children. Give Miley the time and gentle encouragement she needs, and you’ll have the opportunity to watch a shy kitten blossom into a loving companion.

You can complete the online adoption application or you can download an application from the links below, attach the completed application to an email, and send it to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at [email protected]. Once the application is received, the approval process will take approximately 1-3 business days and you will be contacted as soon as it is completed.
