Date A Dog is a structured field-trip experience where approved community members take a shelter dog out for a short “date” (can be 1-4 hours out of the day). The goal of this program is to reduce shelter stress and kennel burnout, increase dog visibility outside the shelter, collect valuable notes on dog behavior in real-world settings, drive adoptions through social storytelling, and to build positive community engagement with the shelter.
